I’m a New England girl, born and raised; nowadays, I call the great state of New York my home (residing in the Rochester area). I miss being within driving distance of the ocean, but the rolling farmland and open roads are a fine substitute.
I can't pinpoint exactly when I fell in love with photography, but I remember asking my dad to borrow his small, film camera (or I'd use one of those disposable cameras) to take photos of my friends on the last day of school. I'd take my Kodak EasyShare digital camera with me everywhere in middle school and never stopped clicking away.
I’ve always had a fascination with light, with how the afternoon shadows create such captivating shapes. I have a passion for capturing the littlest details, showing the beauty in commonplace objects or places.
So, for me, photography is more than just taking a picture – it’s about telling the story within the images. And truly, it is an absolute joy to share what I see with others, helping them capture memories and tell their story.
I’ll always be reading more than one book at a time. I like my coffee best in the morning, before my day starts. I will forever be enamored by the writings of C.S. Lewis. One day, I hope to live in the English countryside in an old cottage that has been around for a century – or two or three (or more!). I am a proud dog-and-cat mom to Maddie, our Boxer-Beagle rescue pup, Wyatt, the wily Great Dane mix, and to Rogue, our resident mouse-hunter. Growing up, I was convinced I'd be a vet. I've resigned myself, however, to the glaring fact that my brain just wasn't made to do all that scientific stuff, so I've settled on owning as many animals as I can.
So, all of that is to say that I'm all about the details - and I would love to hear your story. Let’s grab a cup of coffee (or tea or… whatever you like) and chat!
